Mundis Goes Deep Twice, Helps Cornhuskers Top Wolverines, 8-5
Thanks in large part to second baseman Byron Mundis, the DeKalb Cornhuskers beat the Wichita Wolverines, 8-5. Mundis was 3-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Jeff Oyster got the win, improving to 4-7. He pitched 6.1 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 0. Gerald Bosma locked down his 11th save.

Mundis had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Cornhuskers went on to win.
