The Rock River Rats put together a convincing win at Chapman Field, defeating the Clearwater Seagulls, 11-2. Kanenori Fujita was one of the hitting stars. He was 4 for 5 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Rock River. The Rats are now 94-58.

Pierce Gagne had a big 3-run home run for the Rats in the top of the sixth inning. With Rock River leading 3-1 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 22-year old left-handed pitcher Willie Oropeza and punished it. The result was his 25th home run of the season, which put the Rats on top, 6-1.
