The Kelowna Rockets topped the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters, 4-2, in RCL AA action at Pipe Fitters Park. The game was highlighted by the performance of Kelowna pitcher Greg Young. Eric Lewis got credit for the save for Kelowna. It was his 11th of the year. The Rockets sit in 5th place in the RCL AA Lou Piniella League with a record of 68-65.

Young was effective against the Pipe Fitters, seldom allowing a hard-hit ball. The right-hander limited Niagara Falls to just 2 runs on 2 hits over 8 innings.

Young called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
