Peacocks Suffer 7-6 Road Loss
|
The Kelowna Rockets turned back the Murraysville Peacocks, 7-6, at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. Dan Huskey, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 1-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Preston Stenzel picked up the win with 8 innings of work. He allowed 4 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 7-2. Alan Moors notched his 6th save of the season.
Huskey contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for Kelowna in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 3-2, Huskey took a fastball from Ken Evans and stroked the home run to right. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Rockets to leap in front, 6-3.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Huskey said.
The loss makes Murraysville 64-92.
