Evanston turned a good performance from starting pitcher Symão Alegro into a 5-2 triumph over the Wichita Wolverines at FUBU Field. Alegro got the win, improving to 14-14. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. Travis Wilson was credited with the save for Evanston, his 24th of the season.

In the bottom of the 5th, Evanston took the lead on a 2-run single by Austin Garvin. At the time, the Bishops were trailing 2-1, but Garvin's hit with two outs against Wichita pitcher Nelson Soto put them in front, 3-2.

"Symão gave us a really strong effort," said Evanston manager Harold Planter.

Evanston goes to 91-65, Wichita to 56-100.
