The Windsor Royals eked out a 3-2 win versus the Sandy Springs Spartans at Windsor Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Bill Stevenson. He was terrific. The first-place Royals, at 83-52, lead the TML AA Bruce Bochy Division by 4½ games.

The Royals got a big at-bat from first baseman Harry Stimac. For the game, Stimac went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 9th home run of the season gave Windsor a 2-0 lead.

"Bill made some big pitches when he needed to," said Royals manager Luis Hernández.
