Shannon Helps Steelheads Run Win Streak to 5
The skies opened up and the rain fell at Paul Bunyan Field.

Roaring River left fielder David Shannon helped his team beat the Adirondack Lumberjacks, 11-6. Shannon went 4 for 5 for the Steelheads. Roaring River reliever Joaquin Perez picked up the win, while Hugo Flores took the loss for Adirondack.

With Roaring River leading 7-5 in the top of the sixth, Shannon hit a run-scoring single off Adirondack hurler Hugo Flores. It was the 82nd hit of the season for Shannon and put his team ahead, 8-5.

"We got the victory," said Shannon. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."

The 6th-place Steelheads own a record of 46-90.
