In a low-scoring contest between the Clearwater Seagulls and the Carson City Mustang, Randy Sellman, who is tied for 9th in the TAA with a 3.91 ERA, proved to be the difference. The Clearwater right-hander earned props for his performance in the 2-0 Seagulls win. Scott Perciavalle collected save number 29. The first-place Seagulls hiked their record to 96-62.

Zach Johnson, who leads the TAA in RBI with 120, had a direct impact on the outcome. Johnson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to put Clearwater up, 2-0.

"I pretty much put my pitches where I wanted to," said Sellman.
