Buzzard's Bay Earn 4-2 Victory at Windsor Grounds
|
Buzzard's Bay and Windsor took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Buzzard's Bay parlayed a decent outing from starter Alan Tyree into a solid win over the Windsor Royals. The final score was 4-2. Tyree, the winner, moves to 6-7. He threw 6 innings of 1-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 4 walks.
Eddy Velasco, who is tied for 8th in the RAA in bases on balls with 73, had a direct impact on the outcome. Velasco contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Buzzard's Bay up, 2-0.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Velasco said after the game.
The Beetlecats improved their record to 84-75 by beating Windsor.
