Pipe Fitters Stymied by Whitecaps, Arias
At Pipe Fitters Park, the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters and Boston Whitecaps were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

Danny Arias, who is tied for 9th in the TAA in wins with 11, was locked in. The right-hander led the Boston Whitecaps to a 7-0 win against the Niagara Falls Pipe Fitters at Pipe Fitters Park. The first-place Whitecaps, at 86-50, now lead their division by 16 games.

It was an impressive turn from the legendarily hard-working Arias, who tallied 8 strikeouts in 8.2 innings while allowing just 4 hits. Arias, who is tied for 7th in the TAA in quality starts with 14, goes to 11-6 on the year with 96 strikeouts.

"All my pitches were working," said Arias. "They were all synchronized together in attacking the zone."
