Though he had a stellar game, Mike Hylton could not prevent his team, the Windsor Royals, from losing, 7-6, to the Pacifica Shamrocks. Hylton was 4 for 4 with 2 doubles, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ignazio Menichelli in relief. His record improves to 6-8. Steve Atkins took the loss. Brian Kanthak picked up the save, his 4th.

Brent Kuby drew 2 walks in 4 plate appearances for Pacifica. The 21-year old first baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 6-6 tie with a run-scoring walk off Arturo Villanueva. It was his 30th walk of the season.
