Hoosiers Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Bloomington Hoosiers and Rancho Cucamonga.
Randy Savage pitched a gem to lead Rancho to victory over the Bloomington Hoosiers, 1-0. Mario de la Cruz earned save number 1.
Eric Wilson provided a timely hit. The Rancho first baseman delivered a run-scoring triple in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cucamonga on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in the game, but he made it count.
"Randy gave us a huge shot in the arm," said Rancho manager Tony Vargas.
The win takes Rancho to 1-2.
