Despite a fine performance by center fielder Dusty Sullivan, the San Carlos Pipers lost to the Victory Lakes Crawfish, 5-4. Sullivan went 2-5 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. San Carlos now has a record of 1-4.

Victory Lakes got a knockout punch from Javier Menchaca. The left fielder hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 12th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Sam Reynolds, the Victory Lakes manager.
