Chris Morris impressed in the 7-5 South Illinois win over Vanderbilt. Morris was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The loss has the Commodores at 0-4.

Morris had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Sean de Jesus, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Salukis a 7-4 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Morris.

"I was able to square up some pitches," said Morris.
