Garcia Hits 2 home runs in Marlins Win
|
The Media Luna Marlins grabbed a win, 5-2, over the River Falls Falcons at LoanDepot Park. Media Luna third baseman Mario Garcia went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Danny Aguilar, the winning pitcher, is now 1-0. He went 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 6. The loss puts River Falls at 6-2.
With Media Luna leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Garcia hit a fastball from Jon Betances for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Marlins ahead, 3-0.
"We understand we didn't play our best baseball," said losing manager Ryan Cunningham. "We'll shower it off and be ready to compete."
