Worrell hits 2 home runs as Cougars Squeeze Past Arizona State
Washington State second baseman Josh Worrell had a 3-RBI performance, which helped his team down the Arizona State Sun Devils, 10-9. Washington State reliever Paul Righi picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Art Mull was saddled with the loss. Sam Mikolajczyk got the save, the 3rd for him this season.

Washington State needed the clutch hitting of Brian Cranston to seal the deal. The shortstop swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Cougars on top, 10-9. For the game, Cranston had 1 home run and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"We found a way to get it done," Cranston said.

Arizona State, with the loss, is still a stout 4-1.
