Sell drives in 4 runs, Leads Bears to Win
|
The Baylor Bears clobbered the Tulane Green Wave, 12-3, at Wolverines Stadium. Baylor center fielder Malik Sell led the onslaught. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 and driving in 4. The winning pitcher was Josh Hallemeier. He tossed 81 pitches over 6 innings, allowing 3 runs on 4 hits. With the win, Baylor boosts its record to 5-0.
With Baylor trailing 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth, Sell hit a fastball from Dylan Wetterling for a grand slam home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Bears ahead, 6-3.
"I have nothing to complain about," said winning manager Danny Blackson after the game.
