Mojave Absorbs 6-4 Loss to Aiken
|
The first-place Aiken Thoroughbreds took on the Mojave Rattlers in front of a spirited crowd.
Aiken registered a win at Aiken Stadium by beating the Mojave Rattlers, 6-4. Pitcher Jose Salazar was one reason why the Thoroughbreds triumphed. Danny Robles earned the save for Aiken, his 2nd.
Had Jon Kisor not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Kisor hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 3-2, in favor of the Thoroughbreds.
"Jose made his pitches," said Aiken manager Bobby Hobbs.
The win moves Aiken to a record of 12-1.
