Big Day for McKay in 10-5 Cucamonga Win
The Rancho Cucamonga beat the Ft. Worth Werewolves, 10-5, at Steelers Park. The win was due in part to third baseman Josh McKay, who was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Charlie Graef picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 11 in 6.1 innings. The defeat makes the Werewolves 5-10.

The Werewolves had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Cucamonga going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 20-year old shortstop Manny Maldonado came to the plate. Maldonado hit a 3-run home run on a 2-0 fastball from Ft. Worth hurler Fidel de Arcos. It was Maldonado's 1st home run of the year.

"This was one of those games you love to be a part of," said McKay.
