Dunse Torches Maulers for 5 Hits
|
5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Victoria's Edwin Dunse made it happen against the Maulers. Everything came together at the plate for the 23-year-old third baseman as he collected 5 hits in 7 at-bats -- and helped the Cougars triumph, 18-8, at Maulers Park.
"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Dunse said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em."
Edwin Dunse singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Dunse is swinging at a .429 pace on the year with 1 home run, 14 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played in 24 games.
