Werewolves Continue Skid, Thanks to Salazar, Rattlers
The Mojave Rattlers beat the Ft. Worth Werewolves, 17-5, at Werewolves Grounds. Mojave center fielder David Salazar led the way. He was 4-7 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 5 times and drove in 4. The winner in relief was Victor Rodriguez. He is now 2-2. The right-hander allowed 5 runs on 6 hits in 7.2 innings. The loss drops Ft. Worth to 7-16.

Mojave used a clutch at-bat from Fernando Lucio to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Rattlers ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We're producers not directors," said Salazar. "Produce a good swing. Can't direct where it goes."
