Multi-HR Game for Prince in 6-2 Win
|
The Oklahoma State Cowboys knocked off the Iowa State Cyclones, 6-2, at Forney College Grounds. Mike Prince, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Oklahoma State won. The first baseman went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Micah Lathan finished to wrap up his 1st save. The Cowboys are now 3-10, while the Cyclones fall to 5-8.
The Cowboys got an important contribution from right fielder Dylan Bartlet, who in the top of the fifth punched a 2-1 circle change into right for a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Cowboys ahead, 5-1.
"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Bartlet told the Oklahoma State Daily.
