Florida Outlasts Cyclones, Despite Esposito Blasts
The Florida Gators weathered a fine game by Iowa State right fielder Billy Esposito to upend the Cyclones, 10-9, at Ballpark of Bismarck College. Esposito went 4-4 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Chuck Green recorded his 1st save for Florida. The win for the Gators raised their record to 7-7.

David Anderson drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate for Florida. The 19-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring walk off Kirk Davis. It was his 12th walk of the season.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Anderson.
