Talancon Fuels 7-3 Victory Lakes Triumph
|
Led by Sal Talancon, the Victory Lakes Crawfish defeated the Bloomington Hoosiers, 7-3. Talancon, a native of Caguas, Humacao, went 3-5 with a home run, a triple, and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once for the Crawfish. Billy Beltran earned the win. Hirohito Tsutsui, who is tied for 3rd in the TLA in complete games with 1, took the loss for Bloomington. The victory makes Victory Lakes 11-20.
With Victory Lakes trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Talancon hit a slider from Hirohito Tsutsui for a 3-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Crawfish ahead, 4-3.
Talancon attributed the win to his team's "concerted effort."
