Arlington Pockets 8-0 Win Over Estación Juanita
|
The Arlington Stars earned a win at Stars Field, knocking off the Estación Juanita Red Wings, 8-0. On the bump for Arlington was left-hander Arcibaldo Duarte. He had a starring role in the triumph. To call the performance of the 2066 Red Wings subpar is an understatement.
Yong-chik Byun had a big run-scoring double for the Stars in the bottom of the third inning. With Arlington leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from Nick Cortez and swatted a double to left. It was his 10th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Stars ahead, 2-0.
"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Duarte. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
