Cowboys Rough Up Tigers, Take 16-3 Win

The Oklahoma State Cowboys routed the Clemson Tigers, 16-3, at Canaries Ballpark. Gil Eicher was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 6 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 7 for Oklahoma State. Kevin Cassaro got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 5.1 innings, giving up 1 run on 4 hits, while striking out 3 and walking 2. Oklahoma State goes to 7-13, Clemson to 10-10.
With Oklahoma State leading 2-0 in the bottom of the first, Eicher hit a fastball from Chris Maxwell for a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Cowboys ahead, 5-0.
Oklahoma State manager Xiao-wei Wang commended his team for "putting the hammer down."
