The Surrey Thunderbirds handed the Royal Oak Leprechauns a sound defeat, 11-3, at Surrey Field. Danny Gutierrez was a main contributor to the win. He went 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Surrey. Bobby Isbell, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 3 runs on 3 hits, while walking 3 and striking out 7.
