Fans watched the Mojave Rattlers and the Ft. Worth Werewolves fight to the finish.

Luis Vargas, who is tied for 8th in the TLA in quality starts with 6, had a strong outing for the Mojave Rattlers against the Ft. Worth Werewolves at Rattlers Field. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The win was credited to Victor Molina in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Kuniyasu Inouye took the loss.

Ricky Wittwer was the walk-off hero for Mojave. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rattlers shortstop hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Vargas.

The Rattlers upped their record to 22-25.
