Blue Jays Come Back Late to Top Atlantics, 8-3
|
Behind a fine performance from Adam Rummer, the Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the Cuautitlan Izcalli Atlantics, 8-3. Rummer went 1 for 1 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 2 runs for the Blue Jays. At 47-2, Toronto is in first place in the TML LA East Division.
The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Dan Wooten came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Cuautitlan Izcalli pitcher Gustavo Serna, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Toronto on top, 4-3.
"It was a pretty good night," said Rummer.
