5 Straight Wins for Atlantics
|
In a low-scoring contest, Cuautitlan Izcalli pitcher Luis Contreras was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 2-1 win. The save was credited to Jose Trevino, his 1st. The losses continue to add up for Saint John, having now dropped 8 straight.
The Atlantics got a big at-bat from left fielder Jesus Paez. For the game, Paez went 1 for 3 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Cuautitlan Izcalli a 2-0 lead.
"Tough loss," said Saint John manager . "The kind that burns a little inside."
