The Rancho Cucamonga defeated the Santa Clara Vampyres, 10-7, at Steelers Park. Carlos Galvan was a standout performer for Rancho. His 2 hits included 1 single and 1 double -- this in addition to the 2 runs he scored and 3 he knocked in. Mario de la Cruz collected save number 11. The Cucamonga improved to 19-37.

In the bottom of the eighth, the Cucamonga grabbed the lead when Galvan hit his 2nd double of the season. The bases-clearing double off Danny Reyes made it 10-7, Rancho.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Galvan told the Rancho Times.
