Crawfish in Free Fall, Lose 8th Straight
|
The Oak Park Architects topped the Victory Lakes Crawfish, 6-4, in 13 innings at Crawfish Grounds. The game was highlighted by the performance of Oak Park shortstop Milt Nelson. Victory Lakes is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 8 in a row.
Oak Park needed the clutch hitting of Ricky Martinez to seal the deal. The left fielder swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the 13th inning to put the Architects on top, 6-4. For the game, Martinez had 1 home run and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said Victory Lakes manager Sam Reynolds.
