Ft. Worth Falls, 7-6, as Skid Hits 9 Games
|
The 2064 season is going from bad to worse for Ft. Worth.
Eric Richardson had a good game, but he could not keep the Ft. Worth Werewolves from falling, 7-6, to the Tulsa Titans at Titans Park. The Ft. Worth catcher went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 in the loss. Tulsa reliever Jorge Roman picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Pirela took the loss. Marco Reyes closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.
Federico Elizondo had a big grand slam home run for the Titans in the bottom of the fifth inning. With Tulsa trailing 6-3 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Chris Pirela and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Titans ahead, 7-6.
"We haven't been playing to the level we want to play," said Ft. Worth manager Danny Koehl.
The losses continue to mount for Ft. Worth, which has now dropped 9 in a row.
