Not everyone stuck through the 47-minute rain delay, but those who did went home happy.
The Oklahoma State Cowboys scored a 3-2 win versus the Iowa State Cyclones at Canaries Ballpark. Oklahoma State pitcher Jonathan Cole nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The winner was Micah Lathan in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Jordan Campbell took the loss. J.J. Becker, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.
Oklahoma State took a 3-1 lead on Jimmy Thomas's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Iowa State pitcher Jordan Campbell in the bottom of the seventh.
Cole expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
Oklahoma State is last in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 13-23.
