Sooners 7-5 Victors Over Cowboys
|
The Oklahoma Sooners beat the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 7-5, at Biglerville College Fields. Oklahoma left fielder Andy Dunn had an outstanding performance. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winning continues for Oklahoma, with the latest triumph making it 7 straight.
Dunn contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Oklahoma in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, Dunn took a sinker from Joe Barrett and stroked the home run to left. His 17th home run of the season allowed the Sooners to leap in front, 3-2.
"Good, gritty kind of win," said Sooners manager Lewis Cannon.
