Big Day for Melendez as Architects Down Blue Jays, 9-4
The Oak Park Architects defeated the Toronto Blue Jays, 9-4. Catcher Manuel Melendez deserved a large share of the credit. Melendez went 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Architects. Oak Park reliever Antonio Diaz was the winner. His record is now 4-5. Kyle Phillips took the loss. The Architects go to 41-25, putting them first in the RCL LA East Division.

With the game tied, 4-4, in the bottom of the sixth, Melendez had a key at-bat for Oak Park. With the bases loaded, Melendez hit a run-scoring single off Kyle Phillips, making the score 5-4, Architects.
