Cougars Fall to Aggies Late
The Washington State Cougars got a sterling performance from pitcher Quinn Mitchell, but the Texas A&M Aggies still prevailed, 5-4. Mitchell threw 5.0 innings allowing 1 run. Kyle Watkins closed it out for Texas A&M, earning his 4th save. The Aggies go to 21-16, putting them 9th in the Cliff Gustafson.

Texas A&M used the timely hitting of Bobby Dettmann to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Aggies on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Dettmann.
