The Arizona State Sun Devils topped the Arizona Wildcats, 18-8, at Ballpark of Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley College. Arizona State left fielder Josh Sweet was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4 for 4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and 2 walks, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3. Arizona State reliever Kevin Helton got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Kendall Jurewicz was tagged with the loss. The Sun Devils now have a record of 26-12.

Making an impact for the home team was Joe McDonough. In the bottom of the third, the 19-year old left fielder had a run-scoring walk. That made the score 4-2, Sun Devils.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said McDonough.
