Volunteers Rally to Nose Past Miami
|
The home crowd was treated to a thrilling, walk-off win.
The Miami Hurricanes got a sterling performance from left fielder Grant Henninger, but the Tennessee Volunteers still prevailed, 4-3. Henninger slugged 2 home runs. The Volunteers now have a record of 23-16 with the win over Miami.
The decisive blow was delivered by Mike Klick in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a bases-clearing double off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Ray Bunce to win the game for Tennessee. The home crowd went nuts.
"The crowd flipped out," Klick said.
