Crawfish Win in Glorious Fashion, 10-8
The Victory Lakes Crawfish topped the Brighton Steelhounds, 10-8, the lion's share of the credit going to shortstop Ivan Ayala. On the day, Ayala was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for the Crawfish. Victory Lakes reliever Matt Goodrich was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Bruno Mercier took the loss. The Crawfish win now puts them at 28-43.

The decisive blow was delivered by Sal Talancon in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a 2-run home run off 22-year old right-handed pitcher Bruno Mercier to win the game for Victory Lakes. The home crowd went nuts.

Talancon said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
