Santa Clara Stadium was the site of a competitive game between the Santa Clara Vampyres and Mojave Rattlers.

Mojave Rattlers starter Nobuaki Matsushima pitched well against the Santa Clara Vampyres at Santa Clara Stadium, leading his team to a win, 5-3. Bob Hart earned the save, his 3rd, for the Rattlers.

Mojave used a clutch at-bat from Jeff Braine to capture the win. The second baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Rattlers ahead, 4-3. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"Nobuaki had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Mojave manager Jimmy Bernard.

With the win, the Rattlers have a record of 29-43.
