Skidding Falcons Lose 9th Straight
River Falls got a valiant performance from pitcher Alejandro Munoz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Surrey Thunderbirds. Surrey won the game, 5-3. Munoz threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Sergio Arrache picked up his 2nd save of the season. River Falls is in the throes of a long losing streak, which is now 9 games.

Surrey took a 5-3 lead on Willie Roybal's 4th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Roybal hit in the bottom of the eighth, left River Falls pitcher Doug Minkler visibly frustrated.

River Falls manager Ryan Cunningham, after yet another defeat, remained upbeat. He said: "We're going to get out of this thing, we're going to come busting through."
