The River Falls Falcons overcame a good performance by Surrey center fielder Bobby Helmlinger to knock off Surrey, 8-7, at Surrey Field. Helmlinger was 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Mike Kemp picked up his 1st save of the season. The Falcons now have a mark of 41-33.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 20-year old third baseman Angel Villarreal. Villarreal had a run-scoring catcher's interference in the top of the ninth inning to put the Falcons ahead, 8-7. For the game, Villarreal had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
