Rebels Rally For Late Win Over Cougars
The Ole Miss Rebels defeated the Houston Cougars, 8-5, at Suns Ballpark today. Leading the charge for Ole Miss was first baseman Eric Wagers. He was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Dave Fronczak got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on 5 hits in 3.1 innings. Ian James got credit for the save for Ole Miss. It was his 10th of the year.

Ole Miss used the bat of Chris Bower to get the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Rebels ahead, 8-5. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"It was a solid team effort," said Bower after the game.

Ole Miss is now 23-18. Houston is 26-15.
