With Ivan Montalvo leading the charge, the Victory Lakes Crawfish defeated the Victoria Cougars, 9-7. Montalvo hit 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Crawfish. Billy Beltran, who is tied for 8th in the TLA in innings pitched with 108.0, earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3.1 innings. He upped his record to 5-10. Carlos Guerrero closed out the game, earning his 2nd save.

Victory Lakes second baseman Sean Lang contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a run-scoring single. It was his 66th hit of the season and put the Crawfish ahead, 9-7.

"Whenever you can come through for your ball club, it's a great thing," said Montalvo.

The Crawfish raised their record to 31-45.
