The Brighton Steelhounds faced a tough opponent in Ft. Worth pitcher Chris Pirela, but did just enough to pull out the victory at Steelhounds Grounds by a final score of 6-5. Pirela went 5.1 innings and allowed 2 runs. Brighton is now 50-28, Ft. Worth 30-47.

With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Miguel Acosta had a game-changing hit. The Steelhounds center fielder slammed a run-scoring single off Steve Davila, making the score 6-4, Brighton.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Brighton manager Freddie Baseball.
