The LSU Tigers bested the Cal State Fullerton Titans by a score of 3-0, with second baseman Billy Andrew getting the main credit. On the day, Andrew was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Tigers. Pete DeVoll earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 3-1. Josh Dix nailed down his 2nd save.

LSU took a 3-0 lead on Andrew's 9th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Keith Gordon in the bottom of the eighth, propelled LSU to the win.

"Good pitching, clutch hitting," said LSU skipper Keith Waligorski. "I can't complain."

The Tigers saw their record improve to 12-31.
