The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets beat the Arkansas Razorbacks, 6-3, at Castles Ballpark. The win was due in part to shortstop Dave Jaynes, who went 2-3 with a double, a walk, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Jose Pacheco closed out the game, earning his 9th save. The Yellow Jackets go to 20-23, putting them 15th in the Ron Fraser Division.

With Georgia Tech leading 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Jaynes batted against Arkansas pitcher Joe Reed. Jaynes hit a screwball to left-center for a 2-run double. His 5th double of the season put the Yellow Jackets on top, 3-0.
