Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Franklin Aldape, the Michigan Wolverines defeated the Ohio State Buckeyes, 9-8. Aldape was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Wolverines. Phil Allman, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed 5 runs on 6 hits in 3.2 innings. The Wolverines' win now puts them at 16-28.
In the first inning, Aldape had a 3-run home run for Michigan. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Wolverines on top, 6-2.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Aldape, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
