The Saint John Alpines took on the Victory Lakes Crawfish at Crawfish Grounds.

Victory Lakes right fielder Willie Jiminez had a good game, even if his team did not. The Crawfish dropped a 6-3 decision to Saint John at Crawfish Grounds. Jiminez was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. Luis Palacios recorded his 7th save for Saint John.

Saint John used the timely hitting of Jose Castillo to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Alpines on top, 6-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

Saint John manager Clarence Byrd was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.

At 62-16, the Alpines claim first place in the RCL LA West Division.
